Kevin Feige says we’ll be learning more about the MCU’s next big saga in the coming months

As we get deeper into Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, many are wondering where is the next threat at the Thanos level, which not only hung over the Infinity Saga but also gave a greater sense of connection between the projects. According to Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, we won’t have long to wait for the next big saga to begin to reveal itself.

Feige spoke to Total Film (via GameMe) for its Thor: Love and Thunder cover story and shared that this next big saga will unfold in the coming months.

“As we approach the end of Phase 4, I think people will start to see where this next saga is going,” Feige said. “I think there’s already been a lot of clues, at least clear to me, of where this whole saga is headed. But we’ll be a bit more direct about that in the coming months, to put together a plan so that the audience that if you want to see the bigger picture, you can see a little bit more of the roadmap.”

Looking at what’s coming to the MCU in 2022, we’ve got Thor: Love and Thunder, I Am Groot, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, an untitled Halloween special, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and The Guardians of the Galaxy. Holiday special. In 2023 we are treated to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, The Miracles and X-Men ’97.

Furthermore, we also know that Blade and Fantastic Four are on the way, as well as a Secret Invasion series, Armor Wars, Ironheart, Echo, a Wakanda series, Captain America 4, Loki Season 2 and many more.

Marvel Cinematic Universe: Every Upcoming Movie and TV Show

This plague could come from anywhere, and it could very well be linked to Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror, whose variant was first introduced in the first season of Loki and who will make its big debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

We could also be on our way to a greater focus on the Young Avengers comic strip lines as a handful of younger heroes have come into the limelight in Phase 4, including Kate Bishop, Kamala Khan, America Chavez, Kid Loki, Billy and Tommy Maximoff , and more. Kang also has a link to the Young Avengers in the comics, which could fit nicely into the MCU’s plan.

Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo also previously revealed that a Secret Wars movie could convince them to return to the MCU, as “its ambition is even greater than the ambition of the Infinity Saga.”

Anyway, we won’t have to wait too long to find some of the answers, as Thor: Love and Thunder will hit theaters on July 8, 2022 and will be followed in 2022 by an endless wave of projects and beyond. .
