The next great saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe could be revealed soon, as Marvel Studios chief creative officer Kevin Feige hinted at answers to be revealed once Phase 4 of the movie franchise is completed.
“As we approach the end of Phase 4, I think people will see where this next saga is headed,” Feige told Total Film (via GameMe). “I think there’s already been a lot of clues, at least clear to me, of where this whole saga is headed. But we’ll be a bit more direct about that in the coming months, to put together a plan so that the audience that if you want to see the bigger picture, you can see a little bit more of the roadmap.”
Between the recent movies and TV shows on Disney+, multi-directional breadcrumbs have been teased. Falcon and the Winter Soldier hinted at the creation of a Dark Avengers team, Eternals delved into the lore of the cosmic powerhouses known as the Celestials, and Loki brought Kang the Conqueror to the MCU multiverse.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hinted at an even greater and more catastrophic multiverse threat associated with the 2015 Secret Wars event, which would overshadow Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet saga culminating in Avengers: Endgame.
