Reddit user guffysama showed how they paid tribute to RDR2 with a picture of Sadie sitting against some sort of dirt mound, leaning back and showing off her gun. The entire photo was shot, as the user noted, in the same style that Rockstar does for its official character illustrations. The user made it clear that their style should indeed mimic the ‘OG style’.

Many other Reddit users were quick to give guffysama quite a few compliments, with one saying there would be no way to tell that this was indeed not something published by the game’s developers. Another pointed out that there were a few differences here and there, although they admitted finding those differences was due to being “extremely picky.”

As was the case with others Red Dead Redemption 2 drawings and illustrations, other users were very interested to know how guffysama came up with their work. The poster featured the tools they were using, namely the Infinite Painter app on the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, while using the ‘paint stroke’ brush in that app. Still, others were so impressed with the work that they asked if they could use the photo for their phone wallpaper.

This illustration is far from the first drawing or painting created to pay tribute to a character or characters from RDR2† However, there are those who have gone even further to show how much they love the characters and level of detail in the game. The ending of the game so inspired a player that they even went so far as to create their own Beecher’s Hope in the real world.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
