Trump rages over ‘checked out’ Ivanka after she refutes his allegations of voter fraud at Jan 6 hearing

Donald Trump has said his daughter Ivanka was “checked out” before the 2020 election after being used as evidence against him during the Jan. 6 House Committee hearing.

Trump was also furious with his former Attorney General Bill Barr for turning against him during the investigation into the insurgency.

On Thursday evening, the House Panel played parts of their interview with Mr. Barr. Mr Barr said Mr Trump’s false claims about fraud were “bulls***” and that he did not “want to be a part of it”.

Ms. Trump, one of her father’s most trusted advisers, told the panel she didn’t think the 2020 election was stolen.

She said what Mr Barr told her about the election changed her stance. “It affected my perspective,” she told the committee. “I respect Attorney General Barr, so I accepted what he said.”

“Ivanka Trump was not involved in viewing or studying the election results,” Trump claimed Friday morning on his social media platform Truth Social. “She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, just trying to be respectful of Bill Barr and his position as Attorney General (he was worthless!).

“I’ve had three conversations with the president that I can remember,” Barr told the committee. “One was on November 23, one was on December 1 and one on December 14, and I’ve been through a kind of give and take of those discussions and in that context I made it clear that I didn’t agree with the idea of saying that the elections were stolen and putting out stuff like this that I told the president was bulls**,” he added during the pre-recorded interview shared with the public for the first time Thursday night.

“And I didn’t want to be a part of it and that’s one of the reasons I decided to leave when I did. I noted, I think it was December 1, you know, he can’t live in a world where the incumbent government stays in power based on its vision, not backed up by specific evidence of election fraud, he added.

Mr Trump furiously slammed Mr Barr on Truth Social.

“Bill Barr was a weak and scared Attorney General who was always ‘played’ and threatened by the Democrats and terrified of being impeached,” Trump wrote.

“How do you not get dropped off? Do nothing, or say nothing, especially about the obviously rigged and stolen elections or, to put it another way, the crime of the century! The Democrats hit on Barr, he was stupid, said ridiculously that there was no problem with the election, and they left him alone. It worked for him, but not for our country!” Mr Trump added.

Mr. Trump wrote in a second post about Mr. Barr that he was “a coward who would not even let his U.S. Attorney in Philadelphia, where voter fraud was rife, think about looking at it … I believe that because of their passivity, others became also told!”

“The so-called ‘Rush on the Capitol’ was not caused by me, but by a rigged and stolen election!” Mr Trump claimed.

“I NEVER said, or even thought of saying, ‘Hang Mike Pence’. This is either a made-up story of someone wanting to be a star, or FAKE NEWS!” Mr Trump wrote regarding evidence that he responded positively to his supporters’ chants to hang the vice president for refusing to help undo the election.

“A lot of people talked to me about the election results, both pro and con, but I never wavered a bit – follow the facts and the evidence. The 2020 presidential election was rigged and stolen… And now look at our country – not pretty !!!” Mr Trump posted to Truth Social reiterating his false claims that the election was stolen.
