Warzone’s New Season 4 Map ‘Fortune’s Keep’ Gets New Screenshots and Details

Finally, Call Of Duty: Warzone gets a new small map for the game’s ‘Resurgence’ mode. The current map, Rebirth Island, is the only minor map the free-to-play game has offered to date.

Rebirth Island was recently overhauled with new points of interest, a warmer color palette, and some other changes, but finally the game will now have two small maps in rotation.

The new map is called Fortune’s Keep and it looks really awesome and imaginative. Developed by High Moon Studios, this island is a more imaginative island, full of old cobbled streets, a winery, a smuggler’s bay and a medieval keep. Here’s the map:

Fortune’s Keep is in the Adriatic, so think Italy and Croatia – warm waters, olive groves and vineyards. Old buildings with red roofs and seagulls above. The kind of place you would want to go on vacation, unlike the industrial prison that is Rebirth Island.

Activision and High Moon have released new screenshots of the various landmarks in Fortune’s Keep. There are many different POVs, but four “primary” locations that we’ll look at below in our little tour of the new island.

The city

On the west side of the island is the Town POV. Cobbled streets, many interiors and many cramped corridors make up this sloping village above the sea.

There is even a mysterious graveyard that I believe will eventually spawn undead inhabitants. There are plenty of little hints that this area and the Winery (which we’ll get to in a minute) could be spooky, though probably closer to Halloween.

Smugglers Bay

This seaside bay suggests Fortune’s Keep was once home to pirates and idlers, and it’s certainly one of the better places to find prime loot on the island. It’s also a good place to take cover and avoid open ground as the battle intensifies.

You can drop in through huge holes in the ground or enter from coastal tunnels.

the keep

The keep from which the map takes its name is the crown jewel of the island, a towering structure with ramparts, towers and huge inner halls.

Secret passages connect the Castle with the various other sights, so there are plenty of ways to traverse unnoticed.

As you can see, it’s quite grand, with some excellent areas for exciting firefights (can we even turn this area into a Gunfight map?)

The winery

The Winery is the last of the four main attractions, located across the island on the eastern shore. It consists of the winery itself with its spacious loot-filled cellars, as well as a vineyard and makeshift military camp.

Fortune’s Keep goes live this Wednesday when Season 4 of Call of Duty: Vanguard and war zone launches at 9am PT / 12pm ET.

See you in the war zone!
